势力背景
人之领历史学会由一批背景各异的人组成：成绩斐然的冒险家兼历史学家、人之领浪漫主义者、提前（被）结束低温睡眠的殖民地管理员和海军上将、还有几家打捞公司巨头的董事会成员。人之领历史学会不仅致力于恢复人之领法律，还将复兴人之领文化作为自己的伟大目标（至少他们对外如此宣称）。学会主要使用低科和中科舰船，并持有大量通过技术挖掘获得的蓝图作为其后盾。学会在军事和外交方面为霸主提供适度支援，其主力部队则日夜不停地探索着整片英仙座星域，并确保他们发现的人之领时代遗迹不会落入“不怀好意的势力”的手中；但实际上，人之领历史学会将除自己以外的任何势力都看作是“不怀好意的势力”。
舰船
人之领历史学会的海军主力舰船中，有很大一部分是通过技术挖掘得到的、设计于主宰纪元晚期的舰船。因此，这些舰船大都拥有厚实的装甲，并且偏向于实弹武器配置。与常见的主宰纪元舰船相比，学会所使用的舰船拥有略高的速度和机动性；但相对地，这些舰船的内部构造十分拥挤，导致它们很难搭载更先进的武器。
